Prayer

"Devote Yourselves to Prayer With an Alert Mind and a Thankful Heart.” Colossians 4:2 (NLT)

Prayer is a powerful tool God gives us to grow our relationship with Him and support others. There are many ways we can engage in prayer:

Personal Prayer

All of us long to connect with someone who can identify with our circumstances and share in our day-to-day life. Prayer is just that - a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving Heavenly Father. We would encourage you to establish a regular time that you set aside to talk with God. "The fervent prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results." James 5:16 (NLT)

Prayer Meetings

Living Word Church has specific prayer meetings on alternate Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm. This is a time when we can get together to pray as a Church family. It's not about spending all the time just praying, We have worship, Bible readings and different prayer focuses depending on whoever is leading that particular occassion. One thing that doesn't change is that the time goes quickly as we spend time in God's presence!

Prayer Requests

God asks us to prayer for each other. If you’d like us to partner with you in a prayer request, simply fill out a Prayer Request form (available from the stands in the foyer) and hand it to one of the Welcomers you met when you arrived.   Be assured that someone will join with you in bringing your request before God.

Please also remember to tell us when your prayer has been answered so we can celebrate God's provision. If you are a regular attender at Living Word Church we invite you to become part of our Prayer Chain. By providing a mobile number or (if you don't have one) an email address, you can submit and receive the latest prayer requests relating to specific matters urgently needing God's intervention.  You can also submit prayer requests to us directly through via the 'Contact Us' page above.
